The short answer: Naples interior design right now is being shaped as much by small studios founded in the last decade as by the firms that have worked here for thirty or forty years. The eight in this feature are Anthony Catalfano, Carrie Brigham Design, Design West, Frank Ponterio Interior Design, Harper Haus Interiors, J. Lynn Design Group, Judith Liegeois Designs and Romanza Interior Design. They are listed alphabetically, not ranked, and they range from a two-floor showroom on Fifth Avenue South to a studio on Trade Center Way, just off Pine Ridge Road.

Key takeaways

  • This is an editorial feature, not a hiring guide. Nobody paid to appear, and nobody was asked.
  • Three of the eight have been working in Southwest Florida for 25 years or more: Design West, Judith Liegeois Designs and Romanza Interior Design.
  • Two were founded in 2017, Harper Haus Interiors and Carrie Brigham Design, and both now lead full-scope new builds and renovations.
  • Two arrived from elsewhere: Frank Ponterio from Chicago to The Collective, and Anthony Catalfano from Boston and Maine to a Ninth Street South showroom that opened in early 2026.
  • There is no single Naples look. One studio says it does not do coastal at all; another builds its whole identity around resort-style living.

How we chose these eight

Our criteria were simple. Each designer or firm had to be operating in Naples or Collier County as of October 2026, with a working website and a studio or showroom here. Each had to have published work we could actually study, either on their own site or in a design publication. And together the group had to show a range: large teams and one-designer studios, established names and newer ones, traditional and modern.

Nobody paid to be included, and we did not contact anyone before publishing. Every fact below comes from the firm’s own website or from a named publication, linked in the Sources list. Where a firm does not publish something, such as a founding year or a principal’s name, we say so rather than guess. If you are looking to hire, our guide to hiring an interior designer in Naples covers how the process works.

Anthony Catalfano

Principal: Anthony Catalfano. Where: Anthony Catalfano Curated, 82 Ninth Street South, Unit 107, in the Design District, by appointment.

Catalfano is the newest arrival here, though hardly new to design. Florida Design reported that he opened his 1,500-square-foot Naples showroom at the start of 2026, a space he chose to buy rather than rent, and that he divides his time between Naples, Boston and Wells, Maine. The showroom sells vintage, antique and custom furnishings, laid out as room vignettes that show how he layers and mixes styles. Gulfshore Life described his Naples work as sumptuous, layered interiors for Port Royal houses.

Of note: Boston Design Guide named him the first recipient of its Legend Award. Site: anthonycatalfanocurated.com.

Carrie Brigham Design

Principal: Carrie Brigham, creative director. Where: 5117 Castello Drive, Suite 1, in the Midtown area.

Brigham studied interior architecture and design at Florida State University and founded her studio in 2017. Her site describes the work as quietly luxurious and grounded in architectural clarity, with a focus on large-scale builds and major renovations. She was born and raised in Naples, and she is one of the few designers here who openly steers away from the local default: in a 2025 Luxe profile she said her firm does not do coastal, though it references it abstractly. Her team now includes senior designers, a design director and associate designers.

Of note: Florida Design featured her Pelican Bay condo renovation, a 3,650-square-foot unit where she opened a closed-off kitchen to the living room and the Gulf view. Site: carriebrighamdesign.com.

Design West

Principal: Glenn Midnet, founder and CEO. Where: 445 Fifth Avenue South, Suite 200, downtown.

Midnet founded Design West in Fort Myers in the early 1980s, opened at Mercato in 2010, and moved the firm to Fifth Avenue South in 2024. The new space runs 7,200 square feet over two floors: a showroom with three full kitchen vignettes, custom cabinetry and furniture settings below, and a design studio for consultations above. The firm’s services span interior design, custom cabinetry, renovations and model home merchandising, and its published work includes private residences and clubhouses. Its site leads with a line from Midnet, “Fashion wasn’t meant for the runway alone,” and talks about drawing tailoring and texture from fashion collections, the art world and travel.

Of note: The Fifth Avenue South business district profiled the firm in June 2025. Site: dwest.com.

Frank Ponterio Interior Design

Principal: Frank Ponterio. Where: The Collective, 111 10th Street South, in the Design District.

Ponterio founded his firm in Chicago in 1994 and now describes it as Chicago- and Florida-based. Gulfshore Life reported in 2022 that he had moved his namesake studio to The Collective, the design building we walk through in our Design District showrooms guide. His published work runs from historic preservation and luxury residences to boutique hotels, private clubs and private jets. The same profile called him a traditionalist who blends the rustic and the refined, starts from architecture rather than color, and leans on local artisans for custom pieces.

Of note: Gulfshore Life’s profile, “These 3 Chicago Design Professionals Make Their Mark on Naples”, notes his seat on the Design Leadership Network’s leadership board. Site: frankponterio.com.

Harper Haus Interiors

Principal: Kelli Esposito, founder and principal designer. Where: North Naples.

Esposito left a corporate career in fashion and founded Harper Haus in 2017. The studio’s own description is the plainest statement of its style on this list: eclectic, resort-style spaces with a laid-back luxe feel, built from earthy, organic materials and bold textures, patterns and textiles. Projects run from single rooms to full new-build specifications. Luxe’s 2025 profile noted her habit of pairing natural stone and plaster with high-gloss or metallic finishes, and recent work on Marco Island.

Of note: Florida Design featured the studio’s work on an Old Florida-style family home in Naples, built around space, storage and style. Site: harperhausinteriors.com.

J. Lynn Design Group

Principal: Jenna Lynn Getchell. Where: 2403 Trade Center Way, Suite 6, North Naples, with a second studio in Independence, Ohio.

The firm describes its approach as architecture first: spatial planning, proportion and material selection come before furnishing. Its Naples studio serves Naples, Marco Island and the rest of Collier County, and the published work centers on high-rise residences, custom homes and substantial renovations. The studio cites more than a decade of experience in interior architecture and design. Trade Center Way sits in the same light-industrial pocket off Pine Ridge Road as the Naples Art District, so it is a short drive from the working studios there.

Of note: Luxe published a home tour of a Gulf-front Naples condo by Getchell in October 2026, describing it as modern at its core, with a gallery-like setting for art. Site: jlynn-design.com.

Judith Liegeois Designs

Principal: Judith Liegeois. Where: Ninth Street South in the Design District, with a second space on Third Street South.

Liegeois has been designing in Naples for about 30 years, according to a 2025 Luxe profile, and her firm calls itself a boutique studio of “designers, artists & creators” specializing in organic textures, local artisans and a tailored style. She grew up in New Zealand, and her idea of coastal is local and literal: what is actually outside the window, the surrounding greenery as much as the Gulf, rather than the blue and white that so many Gulf Coast houses default to. Her showrooms sell furniture, lighting and art alongside the design practice, and her site lists a Revamp & Revive service for refreshing an existing home.

Of note: Gulfshore Life’s February 2025 feature, “A Naples Designer Breaks the Coastal Rules in Aqualane Shores”, follows her rework of a 1980s, 4,500-square-foot house within its existing footprint, adding a fourth bedroom and a glassed-in study. Site: judithliegeoisdesigns.com.

Romanza Interior Design

Design leadership: senior design directors Michael Scott and Jennifer Stevens; the firm’s site does not name a single founder. Where: 2210 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Suite 1305, North Naples.

Romanza is one of the longest established firms on this list, citing more than 25 years of work in Southwest Florida. It is a full-service residential firm for homes and condominiums, mostly new construction and major renovations, and its site emphasizes timeless design and personalized detail. The featured projects read like a map of Naples’ well-known waterfront neighborhoods, with work in Park Shore, Old Naples and Port Royal, and much of it is done alongside the region’s custom builders.

Of note: Florida Design’s 2026 Seaglass Awards recognized Scott’s study for a Port Royal estate in the Study or Office category. Site: romanza.com.

What the eight have in common

Less than you might expect. Read side by side, these portfolios argue with each other. Harper Haus builds its identity on resort-style living; Carrie Brigham says her firm does not do coastal; Judith Liegeois redefines coastal around what is actually outside the window. Frank Ponterio works from architecture and tradition, J. Lynn Design Group from proportion and plan, and Design West from fashion.

What they do share is a willingness to rebuild rather than decorate. Several of the featured projects involved opening walls, reworking a kitchen or rethinking a floor plan, which says something about Naples housing stock: plenty of older houses and condos with good bones and closed-off rooms. For the region’s signature look, our coastal interior design guide is the companion piece.

Frequently asked questions

Who are some notable interior designers in Naples, FL?

Eight firms shaping Naples interiors right now are Anthony Catalfano, Carrie Brigham Design, Design West, Frank Ponterio Interior Design, Harper Haus Interiors, J. Lynn Design Group, Judith Liegeois Designs and Romanza Interior Design. They range from studios founded in 2017 to firms that have worked in Southwest Florida for 25 to more than 40 years.

How were the designers in this feature chosen?

On editorial criteria only: a current studio or showroom in Naples or Collier County, published work we could review, and a range of sizes, ages and styles across the group. No one paid to appear, and the list is alphabetical, not a ranking.

Where are interior design studios in Naples located?

Mostly in three areas: the Naples Design District around Ninth and Tenth Streets South, including The Collective at 111 10th Street South; Fifth Avenue South downtown; and North Naples along Pine Ridge Road, Trade Center Way and Vanderbilt Beach Road.

Is there a single Naples interior design style?

No. Some studios build around resort-style coastal living, some avoid coastal references almost entirely, and others work from classical or modern architecture. The common thread is renovation: many projects reopen closed-off layouts in older houses and condos.

Do Naples interior designers also work outside Florida?

Several do. J. Lynn Design Group keeps a second studio in Ohio, Frank Ponterio’s firm is also based in Chicago, and Anthony Catalfano divides his time between Naples, Boston and Wells, Maine.
